let’s ballet ourselves out of ballet school

and enjoy the juicy moon tonight

now quick! what is it when you walk on your toes

en pointe we can have ungraceful grace

let’s tutu around town

feet flat on the pavement

girl we’re stupid

we want every car to sing it

people please honk at us

honk harder and louder

if you think our legs are

green pears in a bowl

if you think there’s merit to

wearing a leotard in the dark

take us home tonight and

fistfeed us chex-mix by the bucketful

cvs won’t close for another hour

the magazines are stellar. the romance novels

lunar-romantic. white lights make our slippers

iridescent hee-hee

is it a full moon or just a regular ass moon

okay i’m bored and the cashier

asked how old we are. let’s scram

ew who does that guy think he is

on ballet planet, the citizens

pirouette all the time

if you float away, you can watch every

moon phase and rate them 1-10

my dad wasted his money

to see people dance and feel happy

so never ask me to look at the moon again

or i’ll perform a grand battemet

in the craters of your face

honk honk honk honk

enjoy the moon!

what does it mean
